Apart from focusing technical aspect to enhance the system security at COL, we have made great effort to enable our employees aware the importance of cyber security and being a smart human firewall through periodic training, knowledge sharing and phishing drill.

COL is very delighted to participate in the HKIHRM' Pay Trend and Benefits Seminar 2024 ' held on October 17.

Statistics illustrates Hong Kong's low unemployment rate (3%) and a tight labour supply,  particularly in transportation, real estate, and public services. 

In 2024, the pay adjustment factors were primarily influenced by company/business performance (82%) and individual performance (59%); followed by Economic conditions in HK (33%), market/competitor's pay adjustments (29%), and inflation (28%). Unambiguously, 2024 “Company and Individual performance” have gained increasing importance versus 2023.

The overall 2024 pay adjustment were 3.2% (Hong Kong), 5.3% (Macau), and 4.8% (Greater Bay Area).

While the projection of 2025 pay adjustment are 3.6% and 4.7% in Hong Kong and Greater Bay Area respectively.

The invited speakers and panelists had covered today's hot topics like Gen Z workforce, Talent MarketPlace, Skills Based Trend, Effective Self-driven Learning Models, etc..... 

Apart from learning through speakers' insightful sharing, HR professionals can freely exchange ideas with various industries' HR peers via interactive group discussions for topics, including Talent Shortages and Retention, DEI, Upskilling and Reskilling, etc.…. 

Our General Manager Ruby Ng was also invited to be one of the moderators in this roundtable section, to encourage all HR participants engaged and benefited from sharing different views and opinions.

It has been an invaluable opportunity in meeting up HR professionals and reconnecting with friends from different industries. 

COL has successfully held an HR Workshop under the theme “Technologies X MBTI Personalities - Attract and Retain Talents” at HKIHRM on March 22.

The HR professionals responded positively to our speakers’ presentations on the innovative “HR Mobile Apps” and “Recruiting Management System”.

In addition, our guest speaker 「Joshua」 provided helpful and practical recommendations for maximizing the application of the MBTI 16-type personality test at the workplace.

Theming as “Chill-chat & Learn 2023”, COL has recently organized a networking event under a relaxing environment at Brick Lane on 17 November, introducing our latest HRMS and Learning solutions to HR and IT professionals and gained positive feedback and support.

Our honourable  guest speaker from PwC had also shared the and gained positive feedback and support.  2023 cyber threat landscape in Hong Kong, alerting us the new attacking models of Threat Actor and increasing number of victims.  Organizations  have raised the awareness of taking strong precautions against cyber threat from these lessons learned. 

We all have a joyful and fruitful Friday afternoon with informative takeaways.
