COL held an enjoyable workshop on Double 11, to connect with HR professionals, exchanging and sharing insightful perspectives on [AI Roster], [Attendance Management] and [Boost Motivation] .

Our guest speaker "Ryan" highlighted that [Motivation] can be understood as extrinsic and intrinsic dimensions. He shared real-life examples and connected them with theories, particularly on the [Self-Determination Theory] — to strengthen intrinsic motivation by satisfying the following THREE psychological needs:

1. Believe in Yourself
2. Highly Autonomous with choices
3. Feeling respected and supported at work

COL is very pleased to participate in the 24th October HKIHRM ' Pay Trend and Benefits Seminar 2025 ', to connect and interact with HR.

The average adjustment in employee base salaries for 2025 is 2.7%. 

Major Factors driving Salary Adjustments in 2025:
1. Company performance (76%, maintains 1st)
2. Hong Kong's economic situation (44%, ranked 4th last year)
3.  Employee performance (40%, ranked 2nd last year)
4.  Market/Competitor salary adjustments (35%, ranked 3rd last year)

The 2026 average salary adjustment is expected to be 3.5%, but just 30% of companies intend to increase salaries. The rest are adopting a wait-and-see approach, indicating a conservative market outlook.

COL is an honour to be one of the exhibitors at the “Empowering NGO’s Workshop”, organized by Oracle and Finesse Group on 15 August.

We shared our solutions and experiences of digital transformation in the HR aspect, demonstrating how technologies (such as “Mobile solution”, “AI-enabled functions” and so on) improve employee engagement, communication, operations, and ultimately maintain a superior service.

Also, Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) has introduced the HK Jockey Club IT Support Programme (JCITNGO), which is critical for NGOs getting a funding to kick start the transformation.

COL 's workshop on May 16th focused on the topics of  [AI], [Performance Management] and [Coaching] topics, where we shared our insight and latest technologies to HR professionals.

Apart from focusing technical aspect to enhance the system security at COL, we have made great effort to enable our employees aware the importance of cyber security and being a smart human firewall through periodic training, knowledge sharing and phishing drill.

COL is very delighted to participate in the HKIHRM' Pay Trend and Benefits Seminar 2024 ' held on October 17.

Statistics illustrates Hong Kong's low unemployment rate (3%) and a tight labour supply,  particularly in transportation, real estate, and public services. 

In 2024, the pay adjustment factors were primarily influenced by company/business performance (82%) and individual performance (59%); followed by Economic conditions in HK (33%), market/competitor's pay adjustments (29%), and inflation (28%). Unambiguously, 2024 “Company and Individual performance” have gained increasing importance versus 2023.

The overall 2024 pay adjustment were 3.2% (Hong Kong), 5.3% (Macau), and 4.8% (Greater Bay Area).

While the projection of 2025 pay adjustment are 3.6% and 4.7% in Hong Kong and Greater Bay Area respectively.
